Simple Seed Crackers

Simple Seed Crackers

The magic of chia holds these simple crackers together. The other seeds (flax, sunflower, and pepita) can be swapped out for seeds like sesame, poppyseed, or whole flax instead of ground. Spices are also completely swappable.

INGREDIENTS

  • 30 g (3 tablespoons) chia seed

  • 30 g (3 tablespoons) ground flaxseed

  • 30 g (1/4 cup) sprouted pepitas

  • 30 g (1/4 cup) sunflower seeds

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1 teasoon granulated garlic

  • 1/2 cup water

METHOD

  1. Mix together all ingredients except water, just until everything is distributed. Add water and allow mixture to sit for 15-20 minutes. Cracker dough is ready when you can turn the bowl upside down without losing any of the mix.

  2. Turn oven on to 300. Spread thinly and evenly onto a sheet of parchment paper - you should get a roughly 13 x 9 rectangle. Score, if desired, for evenly sized crackers. Bake for 45-60 minutes or until dough is totally dry and crispy. Crackers will hold for 2 weeks, tightly sealed.
